In terms of size of contract we consider small, medium and large jobs. A small job we define as any job to the gross value of £5000.00 or less (excluding VAT) and this would be handled by our “small works” department.
This will also include many small insurance jobs (such as repairs after ceilings have leaked after plumbing or drainage problems) where the householder may encounter difficulty in getting builders to quote due to the smallness of the job.
Medium size jobs, as we define them, are the most common and cover the price range from £5000.00 to £25,000.00. These cover most minor refurbishment work, kitchens and bathrooms, external repairs and redecoration and roofing jobs.
Large jobs (often with the involvement of an architect, surveyor or similar professional) usually involve larger refurbishments, loft conversions, extensions etc. We carry out jobs up to (but not more than) an initial price of £250,000.
